Nov 28, 2011 · I’m connecting my MacBook Pro to my TV using a miniDisplayPort and HDMI cable. When I set the TV to HDMI input all I get is my screen saver. That’s the only thing I can pull up from my Mac to the TV. Help!

But still when I connect the MacBook Pro the laptop see the tv but the TV show No Signale. It was working fine for so long with the same tv with no issue. I have a macbook pro and I've tried to connect it to an lcd tv with an hdmi-dvi cable. The only thing that will come up on the tv screen is my desktop (minus the dock and icons). When I try to run a slide show in iphoto the computer shows it but the tv just continues to display the desktop picture and nothing more.
